Roger Minert

Professor of Family History, Brigham Young University

Speaker Bio

Roger P. Minert received his doctoral degree from The Ohio State University in German language history and second language acquisition. Accredited by the Family History Library for research in Germany and Austria, he has more than 36,000 hours in research experience. In August 2003 he became a professor of family history at BYU. The author of 90 books and articles, he directs the research project “German Immigrants in American Church Records” and just finished the book “German Census Record.”
