GS1294-T - FamilySearch Indexing: Get your Group On (T)

Session Description

While FamilySearch indexing is a great way for volunteers to make valuable individual contributions to the billions of free, searchable names on FamilySearch.org and hundreds of thousands of volunteers spend countless hours on their own in this rewarding and addicting activity, there are also some very powerful collaborative elements in the new indexing program. During this session, Jason Pierson, Senior Product Manager at FamilySearch, will discuss how volunteers and leaders can leverage some of the new features in the browser-based indexing program to recruit, train and motivate more volunteers to index more and higher-quality records. We will discuss how to set up and manage groups, how and why to share batches and different methods of reviewing each other’s work.

This class is also taught on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
