LAB2621-S - Photos, Stories and Apps? Oh My! (S)

Session Description

In this lab you will draw closer to your ancestors by working with their photos and documents, telling their stories and sharing audio recordings. Assisted by the experienced trainers from the “Utah South Area Family History Training Center” in Orem, Utah we will practice the mechanics of attaching photos, stories, documents and voice recordings to the Memories section of FamilySearch. Attendees are asked to bring items already scanned with them to the lab. We will then learn to edit them using Irfanview to provide the best quality memories possible. We will practice using the Memories Mobile App to upload photos, documents and audio directly in the Memories section of FamilySearch. We will work on ways to gain collaboration on photos of our ancestors by properly tagging and titling them so they become searchable on the internet. We will learn how FamilySearch aids in that collaboration.

This computer lab is also taught on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
