RT2938 - Micro Tasking Family History

Session Description

Traditional Family History required a significant commitment of time and resources.  Today, FamilySearch is breaking down Family History into very specific tasks that can be accomplished within 15-30 minutes.  Come discover what FamilySearch is doing to understand who you are, the nature of your part of the Tree, and the records available to you, before we ask you to learn about your ancestors, attach their records, and add them to the Tree.

  • We will review new ways we are learning about our ancestors through:
    • The Pioneer Campaign,
    • The Obituaries Campaign, and
    • The Joseph Smith Papers Campaign
  • We will look at additional historical event campaigns that are coming
  • We will discuss who we are, the nature of our part of the Family Tree, opportunities to discover records to attach to the Tree, and names to add to the Tree
