RT2027 - Multi-Tasking 101: Family History While You Sleep

Session Description

Many internet and software based tools, once set in motion, can gather family information 24 hours a day. Come investigate ideas and strategies. Review classic genealogy sites, such as RootsWeb.com and USGenWeb.org, with many features that have proved very useful over the years including message boards, mailing lists, and family tree postings; Locate more records and meet more cousins, through the interactive features at the subscription data websites such as Ancestry.com, MyHeritage, and FindMyPast, and free sites FamilySearch, Mocavo, GEDmatch and more; Find general sites that can be harnessed for genealogy research purposes such as Google, eBay, Archives.com and more with features such as Alerts and Wish Lists; Consider research features built in to your database software; Explore inter-library loan and other potential resources of the local or regional library, genealogy or historical society. Family History while you sleep is the ultimate form of multitasking!
