The Family History Guide (www.thefhguide.com) is a free website that helps you learn and experience family history in a rich, user-friendly environment. There are basic activities for beginners, and links to tools and resources for experienced users, including FamilySearch, Ancestry, Findmypast, and MyHeritage. Get Started describes the learning process. Projects, Goals, and Choices help you learn essential family history skills a step at a time, with resources to get you ready for the Project work. The 7 Projects are: 1) Family Tree, 2) Memories, 3) Descendants or Ordinances, 4) Discover / Research, 5) Indexing, 6) Help, and 7) Technology. Each Project has Choices - learning categories to explore at your own pace. Choices have step-by-step instructions and links to videos. We’ll learn about QuikLinks and the Tracker, and explore The Vault, a huge store of extra video and document resources. And you'll learn about using The Family History Guide in your own classroom settings.
